How We Help Get Rid of Warts

Summer means sandal season. But if you deal with warts on your feet — or anywhere else on your body — the warmer weather may mean exposing those warts. If you’re embarrassed by warts on your hands, feet, or another location, you’ll be glad to know that you have access to an extremely effective treatment option.

At our PureMD MedSpa offices in Miamisburg, Liberty Township, and Dayton, Ohio, we offer targeted wart treatment. Using the Contour TRL™ laser system, we can directly address your wart while protecting the skin around it. This allows our team to give you the most precise wart removal treatment possible.

Identifying warts

If you think you might have a wart, it can be helpful to know what you’re looking for. Warts are fleshy growths that develop on the outer layer of your skin. You can get them on nearly every part of your body. Some of the most common types of warts include:

Plantar warts

These warts develop on the bottoms of your feet and can cause discomfort when you walk. Your plantar wart might have a black dot in the center with thick, white-looking skin around it. These warts usually hurt when pressed.

Common warts

These warts most often develop on your hands. They’re usually raised and firm to the touch. They might resemble cauliflower or get black dots in them, which are clotted blood vessels inside the wart.

Flat warts

Also called plane warts, these smooth, round warts usually develop in groups in sun-exposed areas.

Filiform warts

These warts grow as a thin tube that extends from your skin. They’re most common at folds in the skin, like on your eyelids or around your neck and armpits.

If you think you might have a wart, don’t hesitate to make an appointment at PureMD MedSpa. We can diagnose your wart and treat it.

Laser wart treatment

If you do have a wart, don’t worry. We can use the powerful, precise Contour TRL system to perform laser surgery, removing your wart. This laser is so precise that we can target your wart with the exact amount of energy at the exact depth needed to remove it, while simultaneously protecting your surrounding skin. This gives you highly effective wart removal with minimal downtime.

Treating your wart with a laser doesn’t just remove the wart, either. The treatment also stimulates collagen growth, encouraging new, healthy, resilient skin to form in the area.
